Rogan blasts refereeing display

Derry hurling manager Ger Rogan
Derry boss Ger Rogan was scathing in his criticism of referee Patrick Murphy after his side's Christy Ring Cup defeat to Wicklow in Arklow.
The Oak Leafers have failed to beat Wicklow in five attempts over the past two years and Rogan made no attempt to hide his disgust at some of the decisions made by the Carlow official.
"We did not expect anything other than a tough game from Wicklow and had no problem with Wicklow beating us, but give us a level playing field," he is quoted as saying in the Irish News.
"He gave wrong frees, he gave wrong decisions, we never got a 50-50 call. It was crazy.
"We expected the man in charge to give us a fair shake, but we felt that we did not get that. I am absolutely and livid as we put in a serious amount of work here.
"I tell you, we are not out of this competition and we will be back next Tuesday and next Saturday, and people had better take note," a defiant Rogan added.
