Leinster MHC: Dublin blow Carlow away
May 14, 2012
Dublin 4-24
Carlow 0-3
Dublin bounced back from their defeat to Wexford with this 33-point mauling of Carlow at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday.
Paul Winters and Cian Boland scored 3-10 between them as the holders tore the hapless home side to shreds. The tone for the afternoon was set when James Roche pointed inside the first minute. Goals from Oisin O'Rorke and Boland had the visitors perched on a 2-11 to 0-2 lead at the break.
There was no respite for Carlow - who had beaten Kildare and Westmeat in the earlier rounds - after the restart as Winters and Boland pounced for further goals. Marty Kavanagh was Carlow's only scorer with their three points coming from frees.
