Shefflin makes club return

Kilkenny's Henry Shefflin
Henry Shefflin is on course to feature in Kilkenny's Liam MacCarthy Cup defence after making his return to club action last night.
The eight-time All-Ireland winner ended seven months on the sidelines when he played the final 17 minutes of Ballyhale Shamrocks' 5-18 to 2-8 defeat of neighbours Dunnamaggin in a Kilkenny senior league game. Shefflin scored two points in what was his first competitive run-out since suffering a shoulder injury towards the end of last year.
The 33-year-old will be hoping to get more game-time under his belt before the Cats face Dublin, Laois or Carlow in the Leinster SHC semi-final on June 23. Shefflin hasn't missed a championship game since making his debut in 1999 and his return to action is great news for the All-Ireland champions who have had a terrible run with injuries of late.
