Tipperary manager Declan Ryan has dropped four of last year's All-Ireland winning panel from his squad for the remainder of the Allianz National League.

Backs Conor O'Brien and Hugh Maloney and forward pair Timmy Hammersley and Paddy Fanning are the quartet to make way.

Ryan acted swiftly after watching his side falter to a second National League defeat in a week against Dublin at Croke Park on Saturday night.

All four players have started games in the opening two weekends of the league, with O'Brien, O'Mahoney and Hammersley selected against Kilkenny and Fanning drafted in at full forward against the Dubs.

O'Brien was the most established of the four, having started one championship match under Liam Sheedy last year and featured as a substitute in another four, including the All-Ireland final win over Kilkenny.
