Carey thinks Hogan has a chance

Kilkenny's Brian Hogan
Kilkenny legend DJ Carey has not ruled out Brian Hogan in playing a part in Sunday's All-Ireland SHC final.
While Henry Shefflin is believed to be on course to play against Tipperary on Saturday, Cats boss Brian Cody claimed that Hogan would not be taking part in the decider after sustaining a broken finger in training last week.
However, Carey is adamant that the attacker is still within a chance of facing the Premier County.
"People didn't realise it but Brian Hogan was literally ruled out of the All-Ireland semi-final with a broken finger," said Carey.
"I would say there's no one ruled out. I haven't been at a Kilkenny training session. I can't tell you the absolute inside story, but just wait and see what team gets picked and what team plays.
"Brian Hogan was so determined to play in the semi-final, he played with a broken finger."
Carey has also brushed aside claims that the pressure of achieving an unprecedented five-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles would get to Kilkenny this weekend.
"I don't think it's a burden," he said. "I think Kilkenny went for two, three and four in-a-row and there's been pressure at every stage.
"They are going for history but every step of the way so far, particularly the last few years, has also been history - so I don't think Kilkenny's players will buckle under that pressure.
"Everyone must realise it's a huge occasion for both teams and there's an awful lot to lose for both teams. People will say Tipp have nothing to lose - but they have an All-Ireland to lose," added the All-Ireland winner.
