Fahy devastated

Galway manager Gerry Fahy admitted his players had been left "devastated" by their defeat to Cork in yesterday's ESB All-Ireland minor football semi-final.

The Tribesmen played some brilliant football to lead by 5-6 to 2-6 midway through the second half, but allowed Cork to come back and win by a point.

"The lads are devastated in there," former Offaly senior boss Fahy said.

"But even when we went three goals up, I didn't think we were home and dry by any means.

"We were well aware of how Cork had battled back so well against Kerry and Armagh, so we knew that they would throw everything at us. Of course, it's very disappointing for us, but I feel that many of the lads are good enough to wear the Galway senior jersey in the future."
