NHL 3A: Goals edge Exiles by Armagh
March 14, 2010
London 4-7
Armagh 1-15
London's goal-scoring touch proved the difference yesterday at Crossmaglen as they picked up their first win in Division 3A at the expense of Armagh.
Despite scoring two goals in either half, the Exiles only had a single point to spare over the hosts, who had led by 0-10 to 2-3 at the break after cancelling out the goals of Adrian Healy and Martin Finn with points from Paul McCormack and Paul Breen.
The Orchard men looked to build on their advantage in the second-half, but when substitute Tom Toomey fired in two goals for London in the final quarter they found themselves behind by a deficit from which they couldn't recover and the points went across the Channel.
