Despite calling time on his inter-county career, Dermot Earley hopes to continue lining out for Sarsfields.

A succession of injuries has forced the 35-year-old to bring down the curtain on his career with Kildare, even though he is currently sidelined with a back injury.

Speaking to the Kildare Nationalist, Earley stated that he needs a target to aim for in his rehabilitation and lining out for his club this year is his main priority.

"You can't just walk away. I'm not like that, I need something to work towards," said Earley. Tweet
