Galway will have to do without the services of Conor Whelan for tomorrow's All-Ireland IHC final with holders Cork at the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick (throw-in 7pm).

Whelan was promoted to Anthony Cunningham's senior squad following his impressive showing in the 3-22 to 1-17 semi-final defeat of Kilkenny last month. The 18-year-old repaid Cunningham's faith in him with 1-2 in a starting role against Cork in the quarter-final.

Dan Nevin will start at right half forward in the absence of Whelan in the only change.

Galway (IHC v Cork) - James Skehill; Colm Flynn, Darragh O' Donoghue, Adrian Tuohy; Paul Flaherty, Darragh Burke, Shane Cooney; Kevin McHugo, Dean Higgins; Dan Nevin, Tadhg Haran, Eanna Burke; Brian Molloy, Shane Maloney, Eamon Brannigan.
