Capacity of individual tiers in Croke Park

(Oldest Posts First)

Howye,

I was wondering if anyone knows the individual capacities of each tier in Croke Park?

Any does anyone know the capacity of the lowers (combined - no terraces)?

Cheers.

Did a bit of digging and someone said (here) before that the terraces hold 13,200, which is similar to the whole Davin end, so the 2 main stands hold about 26,000 each. I wonder if anyone can actually get a hold of this information though, doesn't seem to be anywhere online.

Well the lower cusack and hogan have twice as many rows as the upper section (up to A to AA for the lower, A to Z for the upper). Between the two end lines I think there are 10 sections of 30 rows in each. So this would mean the lower Hogan and Cusack hold 15600 each, so 31k between them. Upper cusack and hogan would hold half this, so another 15k between them. The premium level has maybe 10 rows of seats, so this is another 6 thousand. So the Hogan and Cusack hold about 52k between them if full. The rest makes up the rest!

Cheers ormond, I'll write to them now and see if they can give me a definitive answer.

And Pinkie, that's outstanding. I reckon you're pretty much on the ball with that, should have been able to do the maths myself, 28 seats in each row with 52 rows, but of course with the corners and entries that obviously changes, but roughly it would work out, especially when dealing with such large numbers.

haha yeah did it out one day on ticketmaster website while travelling on a bus from dublin to limerick.
they give you the seating map and how many seats in a row and how many rows in a section so did it out for to pass time on the journey.

Hang on there a second, where are you getting those figures from?

At the league final this year there was around 33,000 people there. Both the Cusack and Hogan lower were full, the Davin was about a quarter full I'd say and there was a good chunk of people in the Premium and corporate. I'd say the Hill was about one third full. That doesn't really add up according to those figures.

the front 3 rows in all lower areas were not open, the cusack and hogan lower werent full the cusack was the hogan had section 35 and 36 and 24,25,26 empty.
the hill a and b had good crowds but it was prety much correct that day.
they gave dodgy attendances for a few league and championship matches but the league final was about right.
the bit i didnt get was the triple header a couple of weeks back was given as 33 thousand despite the ground being identical to the league final in what was opened but the hill closed so had to be less then the league final
