Does anyone know how teams lined out when hurling was 17-a-side from 1892 to 1912?

Like was it GK,7 backs, 2 mids and 7 forwards or some other formation?

Not sure if there was actually positions, wasnt the sliotar just thrown in amongst all players to start the game, and one goal won over any number of points??
