Has the time come to split London?

(Oldest Posts First)

Following on from the discussions on another thread............is it time to split London in 2, 3 or maybe even 4?!

A county with a population of over 8 million!

Sligo never had a chance!

In fairness it is only a matter of time before London start to dominate all aspects and strands of the GAA based solely on their population.

They've already won Connacht if the Irish Independent is to be believed.

You've a good point, next year's championship should have North Dublin, South Dublin, London North, London South, London East and London West. They could even play in a capital league and a capital cup!

It's actually a good question. A lot of good players in London can't make it to training because of the commuting times involved!

I presume this is a joke? We expected Dublin to do the same and that has yet to happen.....

Well I would be more of the opinion that it should be based on a combination of population, numbers playing the sport, likelihood of increased interest, present rate of improvement at all levels and current and likely future spending... But each to their own... Although this probably gives an insight into your lack of smarts with a compass...

Again we'll all have to bow to your ability to read the future.

As well as your unrivalled knowledge of the geography of all cities worldwide ;)

After I win the Euromillions tonight...

I'm lumping it all on making East Dublin the GAA capital of the known universe!

If I have anything left over I'll bail out Mayo GAA... and insist on McHale Park being renamed Anto.
