There seems to be a lot of hurling clubs starting up all over the states made up mostly of americans

Probably a sport that would appeal to the vast majority of Americans interested in sport. The physical nature, high-scoring and striking of a ball would have quite a few similarities with baseball and American football. In my opinion of course.

Yeah, its pretty awesome, I've being noticing these clubs popping up over the last few years. As well as that, teams have been formed in Universities, like Stanford and Berkeley, made up of mostly Americans (I believe), and there is even now a University hurling championship being played off each year.

I'm really surprised it hasn't gotten more attention back home. People lose their nut if the GAA is mentioned on Sky, but hurling has featured in many newscasts around the US over the past few years, relating to local teams starting up, and no-one's batted an eyelid.

I think I've posted this before, but when I see American kids in Milwaukee, going to a hurling clinic (being given by what sounds like other Americans), it kinda messes with my head (in a good way).

yes iv been wondering to why its got no coverage here? it seems to be a major surge in interest there maybe if the media got over this opsession with rugby it has now

Hmmm, Ol Snuffy senses a quick buck to be made in the good ol US of A!!.....I might make a few 'Diploma in Hurling' parchments from the 'University of Dell' and send a few of my lads off to America for the summer!
