Seating in Croker for Club Finals.

(Oldest Posts First)

GAA website is offering me three tickets in Lower Cusack Stand,Section 304,Row AA for two kids and myself.

Not too bothered about myself but will kids get soaked in these seats if it rains?

If so,what are best seats to go for?

Thanks.

Yeah AA are the very fron.

Anything from about E or F back should be grand.

Sections 305/306/307 are the most central, but 304 wont be too bad, about 35-40 yards from the hill 16 goals.

Enjoy

AA is 27 rows back so you should be ok as it is under cover but will depend on which way rain falls if it blowing into stand you may still catch it. Great seats though round the 45-65 on hill side. If worried just refuse those and keep going back in till you get kk to higher. Rows start a is row 1 up to z which is row 26 then aa is 27 up to zz and 300 is lower tier. 301 starts at hill 16 and works its way whole way round in sections. Good seats so I'd take the risk as its likely the upper tiers won't be open. Let's hope for no rain enjoy.

Rows AA are covered as they are 27 rows back from the front.

Seats at the front start with A and go back to Z after that they go AA, BB ,CC etc etc ............

Section 3o4 is not quite central ideally 306 & 307 is what you'd be looking for.

But listen you'll be able to move about a bit as it wont be packed, if it rains you can always move back a few rows under cover if you need to.

Do they not start with the double numbers to the very front, then start with the single numbers after zz?

No jinxie last time there we had vv and we right up at back few rows from back. Usually that's where my tickets are for game rr uu or vv in 307 and always right up at back.

If it was me I be looking for seats in the very front row especially with children.

Love sitting down at pitch level myself, great for getting close up snaps of the action.

A crowd of 20-25k is expected for the two finals if it rains you can move up to a seat under the stand.

From experience, I think you nearly have to be back past row KK to be sure of staying dry (was certainly that way for the Dublin v Laois game in Leinster championship a couple of years ago - was in row MM and was bone dry apart from the odd gust). The wind tends to blow the rain into the Cusack stand much more than the Hogan and St Patricks day is notorious for hailstones too (or maybe I've been unlucky any time I've been in Croker on club final day) so I'd try and get seat further back but, as one of the other posters has said, it shouldn't be a problem moving back if it does rain (apart from sitting in another fella's seat and being moved again).

Took those seats anyway and will take our chances, could'nt get any better ones on the web.

Remember dire hailstones in Croker in 90's when Kilmacud beat Bellaghy in football and Birr drew with Loughgiel (I think),had to be seen to be believed was that bad.

Thanks for the comments and help anyway.

They go from A (closest to pitch) to Z then AA to ZZ. From EE back is covered, though as someone said you would be able to jump up a few rows if it starts raining.
