The battle continues hillman because I think you're full of it, a malcontent who can't admit to anything. I'm sure the feeling is mutual, the difference is I don't care. gigoer (Wexford) - Posts: 1998 - 15/08/2012 21:38:44 1246092 Link 0 |

Why can't we have a GAA personality who can profess their belief in Jesus? worple (Roscommon) - Posts: 351 - 16/08/2012 10:20:00 1246164 Link 0 |

For what reason worple...? I go to GAA games to watch the football not to listen to them chatting about some guy who was around 2000 years ago...! Lifford Gael (Donegal) - Posts: 1925 - 16/08/2012 11:18:32 1246215 Link 0 |

Just another thought worple..... I much prefer to hear the line 'Durcan saves' as opposed to 'Jesus saves'....has more relevance during a match.....! Lifford Gael (Donegal) - Posts: 1925 - 16/08/2012 11:29:34 1246225 Link 0 |

been on the hill in the past and there were a lot of people praying to "jayus" , "jayus christ" "sweet mother of divine jayus" and "jaysus h christ". I think theres enough of those prayers in croke park in any game :) spmccann (Dublin) - Posts: 209 - 16/08/2012 11:43:12 1246235 Link 0 |

Taking nothing away from Katie who is a great athlete but it's time for some honest reflection. Some people like myself believe she didn't win the fight against the Russian who has every right to feel agrieved; her opponent landed the more telling shots in the fight and clearly won the 3rd round. She put Katie on the floor and Taylor should have taken a standing count. It appears some are getting carried away on tide of blind devotion, misguided loyalty and OLE OLE OLE nonsense. Some of the boxing fraternity I know have said she got a very lucky decision; I would ask people to go and watch the fight honestly without the "Top of the Mornin, sure to be sure, isn't she a great girl altogether" glasses on that Irish people tend to do. Going against the grain seems to be a cardinal sin in Ireland. I actually have my own opinions unlike most of the Irish populace who are told what to believe by the Establishment and don't diverse. That's why ordinary people take hit after hit for the sins of the Establishment; they haven't got the cajones to think for themselves.
