My club means absolutely everything to me. I spend probably more time there than at home. don't really know how to put the way I feel into words. My late grandfather was involved in the club since its foundation in the 1940's. This expression sums it up very well

You don't choose your club......you inherit it

Yes some people have that luxury, family and work always came first with me and to be honest not always in the correct order. I've had a few different clubs in my time but my county would always come in way ahead of any club.

Obviously family, friends etc comes first for everybody.

In saying that though I'd rather see my club successful than Dublin doing well.

There would be no GAA without the Clubs. Clubs are the rock on which the GAA stands!

DHORSE on a different subject I meant to ask you about a guy from you're neck of the woods ,he lives in a farm as you come round the corner past the creamery and before Donaghmore village. He keeps a 1970's 3 liter ford Capri in his hay shed along with a few other vintage cars , funnily enough he also goes by the name"The Horse" do you know him by any chance a gas man.

the club is a strange oul thing. Some people hate it some people are die hards. But what is a club? Is it a huge complex building or is it the teams that step on to the field with the team jersey is it the craic in the pub and social club or a waste of time. I dedicate myself to my club. Operate the scoreboard, line the pitch with flags, help out with under 10s and 8s and of course train. my club at the minute is unsuccessful but i keep training of coursse and dont look else where to other clubs to move to. i stick to where i am and my club is my soul and heart. huge clique but i think its true
