Hi

Just wondering does anyone know of new GAA books released in time for Christmas. I know Darragh O Se and Dan the Man have released one and I saw one about Cork, Kerry, Waterford. Does anyone know of any more. Santa might bring em if I'm a good boy!! (Otherwise I can buy them for other people and "borrow" them!!

Liam Hayes has a new book out. He was on the Late Late a few weeks back. A very brave man to go on tv and talk about his battle with cancer. Please God he gets through it. His book is a re-issue of the original print from 1992 with updates. I had a flick through it and it looks a honest enough read.

The auld hints have been dropped for that and the book by Dara O'Se. i expect one from Sean Og is not far in the offing. Tont Griffin's book about his track across Canada is a good read i have to add.

Just finnished "Voice's From Croke Park".

It is 12 former legends, hurling and football, talking about their experiences within the GAA.

Peter Canavan, D J Carey, Liam Mc Hale etc.

Canavan and Tony Keady parts were very good.

Also all the profits are going to a past players benevelont fund to help our former heroes in hard times.

A must but and a great read

I will be voting for Tony Griffin's Screaming at the Sky - excellent !
Likewise I will be hoping that Santa brings Dan the man's and Daragh O'Se's new books.
Might check out Christy O'Connor's book on St. Joseph's Doora-Barefield - always enjoy the club slant.
Haven't got to read Damien Tiernan's Waterford hurling book yet - Agony & Ectasy, supposed to be good.

As with Dammon and Big Sur, 'The Club' looks like it could be a top read. Toying with the idea of getting a copy of Darragh O Se's book, Voices from Croke Park and Brothers in Sport. Good to see there's a few decent GAA books on the shelves.
