benfica will be outsiders going into the liverpool game but will beat them at a stroll. far too much talent in that benfica team that a bunch of average hatchet men like liverpool could deal with. torres and gerrard are liverpool only two real quality players. benfica have quality players all over the team in many different positions. easy money if you bet on a benfica win.

valencia will be too much for athletico. they too are a bunch of bottlers and far far far too weak to hold off villa, silva, mata, hernandez etc. although they will cause problems at the other end. still, valencia to go through without too much hassle.

standard should get beat by hamburg. they are doing absolutely rubbish in the belgium league. i fully expected anderlecht to be challenging for the the europa league but got knocked out by hamburg, who themselves are doing pretty poor in germany. hamburg to go through.

i dont rate wolfsburg at all. fulham will beat them and get beat by hamburg. the winner of the valencia-benfica match will go on to win it and right now my money would be on benfica
