United get the tough draw as usual. First up against European football powerhouses Bayern Munich, you can never rule out the Germans. And if they manage the impossible and reached the semis, the cream of the new "best league in Europe" awaits them.

Not really sarcasm, I'm just doing my best to use the "experts" logic. Every day is a school day!

The Arsenal Barca tie will be a goalfest. Two poor defences and two amzing attacks.

Cue 0-0 on agg, penalty shootout lottery

Lyon, Inter and United to ease through. The Barca v Arsenal match will be alot closer then people would think. Arsenal will be well capable of beating Barca but hopefully the Champs will see them off

Breffni some interesting ties and hard to call. It has been a strange year this year, no team has really shone out for me. On current form you have to look at United and Barca in the final but we shall see. Predictions as follows;

Lyon v Bordeaux - Very tough call this one, I'll go for Lauren Blanc and Bordeaux. Lyon are not the team they were with a few key players moving on this year and Bordeaux having home advantage in the second leg.

Bayern Munich v Manchester United - Again this will be close, Ribbery has come back after a long injury and has looked good when I've seen him. Robben has also settled in well. I felt maybe we should have took a chance on him, but he may have burnt his bridges with Fergie when he went to Chelskie rather than us in the past. But again United have the advantage of Old T in the second leg and this will give us the edge. I'll go for a 3-2 win for United. Possibly tie of the round.

Arsenal v Barcelona - Another excellent game possibly also close to tie of the round. I think Barca will be to strong here, Arsenal struggle against sides that put them under pressure and Barca will not allow Arsenal the time and space to play there flowing football. Watched the game against Stuttgart the other night, i thought Barca reminded me of United playing with Power and Pace they worked very hard closing down and broke at pace. Very similar to United when they click. Barca win here. Camp Nu again could be crucial as the second leg is at Barca.

Inter Milan v CSKA Moscow - Inter and Moscow another hard one to call for me. Inter are a good side but Jose new all about Chelsea and what makes them tick. He got them at it and we all know the troubles that Chelsea are have at present, very frail to say the least. I fancied Inter to win that one and they did. Not so sure here though. Moscow are no mugs and is the second leg played on that plastic pitch. I'll go for a shock and CSKA for the semi's. Another game which could go either way.
