Unsporting behaviour at Tyone v Derry U21FC

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I felt embarrassed last night to see a supposed mature adult and a member of the Tyrone management team squirt a water bottle on a Derry player. His actions at best were ill thought and at worst grossly unsporting. I do hope that some action is taken against him and/or the tyrone county board issue an apology for his conduct.

It was a disgrace that the Tyrone mentor managed to stay on the pitch after that incident.

It worked in Derrys favour thereafter though, our lads made them look like wee boys.

The only thing i will say it was a bad act if it happened but on the derry board you stated it was the worst you have ever seen . The worst i have ever seen was the time a derry player broke a donegal mans jaw off the ball that is bad unsporting i would have water any day than that.

Well I do think that the linesman on this side was short a pair of cahones he took no action on several occassions that had he done so more than one player plus the official would have been removed. He really did not want to be there I think. It was a great win for Derry though.

God help us you are the most defensive character I have ever came across. I said it was the most unsporting conduct I have ever seen at this LEVEL. We are talking about a member of management (non combatant if you like) Throwing water on an opposition under 21 player. I think that is unsporting to a level i have not seen before. What happens on the pitch between two players may be unspoorting to whatever degree you like to say but this is a 40 plus man setting a worse than bad example to under 21s. If you can not see that Dell and discuss this incident without feeling that you must find some other act that will distract from the seriousness of it then you really are way out of order.

What is with you and Dell. Neither myself or Fr ted were or are attacking Tyrone or the Tyrone team. We are highlighting unsporting behaviour by an adult commissioned with furthering the wellbeing of our great sport. If you pair can not see that, then you really have no credibility as observers of our game never mind as commentators on it.

You are to be commended on your post.
No one is attacking tyrone football. But some of your fellow county men are to quick to go defensive here and only give football supporters a bad name and tyrone supporters in particular a worse name. One has admitted he was not there and the other I suspect was not there either.

Am only stating it is not the worst incident i have ever seen as i quoted i would rather have water threw at me than my jaw broke. I also stated it was a bad act to which is in my post as i do not agree on that sort of stuff on a field but you cant bring up worst in any level but still the same if it happens from under12 to senior .

Best I ever saw was the Antrim intermediate final at Corrigan Park.

A well known team were WINNING at half time, came out early for the 2nd half, went into the old stand, and pushed the wall of it down on top of the heads of the opposition as they emerged for the second half.

Also caught them with a fusillade of bricks.

I think someone might have been sent off, as our heroes actually lost.

I never said you where not telling the truth did i ? No not once i believed you but what i am saying is that far worse of incidents happen like i pointed and water never hurt nobody even though it could cause a melee .
