i would say that mayo's position at 18th is fair enough.
the progress has been steady over the lats few years and i can see them moving up to just

voiceforreason mayo have some good players alright, but realistically not much of a chance to get up to outside the top twelve-reason- not enough players or clubs

I'm suprised to see down so low. They have only three real clubs but a great tradition and some fine individual hurlers. I'm convinced that antrim, carlow and laois are all on a high and I would in fact rate carlow and laois ahead of antrim at the minute.
I think the top 12 is divided between those who could win the liam mc carthy- KK, Gal, Cork and Tipp and those who are capable of causing an upset but for now simply don't have two upsets in them in one year -w'ford, wex, clare, dublin, offaly.
Then there's laois, antrim and carlow, all improving and capable of giving a respectable performance against most of the stronger teams.

As for limerick, the current team would not beat anyone else in the liam mc carthy with the current team. It's hard to say what their 2011 team will be capable of doing. see how things pan out.

Good times for hurling overall......eventhough the cats keep winning liam. interesting times ahead.

Limerick as they stand are the weakest team in the liam mc cup.
clare are ahead of offaly and dublin are ahead of wexford easily.

hurlinspuds im basing it on a bit of foresight. the KK team is finished and they've nothing coming up-they proved that by loosing to a poor tipp team last weekend. wheras galway have an abundance of underage talent and deserve to be number 1 IMO.
