I'm 2 of those views and don't live in the MK area. Sorry i can't be of any help to you.

You could try and get in touch with the Irish Post & Irish World to see if they'll do an article in their papers to help you, they'll definately let you put in an editorial of sorts. Definately worth your while trying if there was a side there so recently.

Good luck lad.

I am also someone who's viewed the thread but as above, don't live in the area so was just being nosy.

Might it be worthwhile contacting Sons of Erin based in Northampton? That's not that far from Milton Keynes is it? Perhaps they could help you out in regards to local contacts etc.

Kind of defeats the purpose of setting up a new team eh lads? You'd think you would like more teams to play against, silly me!

By all means try and set up a new team if possible, but you'll be hard pressed to do that in MK these days. They had a team going there for years called Erin Go Bragh but then MK Dons FC bought up the land where the club was based to build their new ground and gave them new land out on the edge of Bletchley, which basically killed off the football arm of the Irish club as it took them too long to get a new pitch and players drifted off to Luton and Northampton.
