Two intercounty footballers from Sligo and Leitrim have joined the exodus to London.

Leitrim's Declan Maxwell and Sligo's Kenneth Sweeney will both play their club football in the English capital from now on.

Former Drumreilly clubman Maxwell will remain unavailable to the Leitrim selectors for a second successive year as work commitments keep him in London, where he has hooked up with Tara Gaels.

And Yeats County attacker Sweeney has switched from Geevagh to St Kieran's.

It remains to be seen whether either player will declare themselves available to play for the Exiles next season. Tweet
