Meath manager Sean Boylan had confirmed that Paddy Reynolds will captain the Royals this year. The Walterstown defender led the side out for the opening league game against Galway at Pairc Tailteann last Sunday and will retain the role for the rest of the season. Incidentally, Ray Magee was Meath's captain during their successful O'Byrne Cup campaign. The Royals are expected to welcome back Ollie Murphy, Trevor Giles and Daithi Regan from injury and last year's midfielder Charles McCarthy - who spent the winter in Australia - in the coming weeks.
