Erin's Own land Under 21 title

December 13, 2004
Erin's Own landed their second permanent TSB Under-21 hurling title in the space of three years, when they recorded a comfortable victory over Glen Rovers at Pairc Ui Rinn on Sunday (December 5). The foundations for this victory were laid in the first quarter when the Glunthane outfit surged into an eight-point lead. Glen Rovers huffed and puffed for the remainder of the match, but they weren't able to make significant inroads into that lead and came out on the wrong end of a 2-8 to 0-8 scoreline. Indeed, Glen were limited to just two points from play for the hour, such was the dominance of the winners' defence. Eoin Murphy (1-4), Sean Kelly (1-0) and Fergus Murphy (0-3) led the scoring charts for the winners.
