Loretto College success

Well done once again  to Amy Wharton who had an outstanding  game in goals for the Senior Loretto College Ladies as they defeated St Romans Lurgan in a tense and thrilling Ulster A final recently. Hard luck to Aine Brady who was on the  Loreto U16 team who were narrowly defeated in their Ulster Final by incidentally St Ronans College Lurgan.  We wish Amy and the Loreto team the best of luck in the All Ireland semi final due to be played soon.

Under 10 girls...well done to the Cornafean u10 girls who played against Mullahoran girls on the 3g pitch on  sunday last during the half time break of the Cavan senior ladies Div2 match against Westmeath Thanks to Mary, Deirdre and Miranda for coaching and looking after the girls. The Cavan ladies continued their good start in Div 2 with a hard earned victory over a gallant Westmeath team. Well done to Cavan ladies Manager Conor Barry whose Dad is from Cornafean.

9 aside league
The Cornafean ladies got their season off to a good start In  the 9 a side league on Saturday evening last with a narrow victory over St Killians played under lights in Kilnaleck. The ladies scored 2 goals and 17 pts over the hours football which bodes well for the season ahead and we wish the ladies , Declan and Wayne the very best of luck for 2016.
