Ex-Cavan forward Martin Dunne has contradicted his former manager Terry Hyland's recent comments that he is intent on going travelling this year.

Hyland recently made comments on Dunne's decision to opt out of the Breffni panel for 2016, citing travel and studying for accountancy exams as his reason for doing so.

However, the Cavan Gaels forward has since tweeted that he has no intentions of going abroad, bluntly stating: "I am not going travelling".

Dunne has been in and out of the Cavan panel since grabbing headlines with the Blues in their 2013 Ulster SFC win over Armagh, when he registered 0-9 in a virtuoso forward display.

2015 saw him confined to a substitute's role under Hyland, coming off the bench in their championship defeats to Monaghan and Roscommon.
