St. Senan's reach first final
October 02, 2006
St. Senan's qualified for their first ever Limerick SFC final following a 1-7 to 1-4 victory over Dromcollogher-Broadford at Newcastle West.
Teenager Ian Ryan was their hero, scoring 1-3 from play with the goal arriving in the 23rd minute. Drom, who had county star Jason Stokes sent off, trailed by 0-2 to 1-3 at the break.
St. Senan's final opponents will be Fr Casey's after the Abbeyfeale side saw off the challenge of Adare by 0-11 to 0-9. Adare led by 0-6 to 0-5 at the interval, but points from Martin Scannell, John Lenihan and Robert Browne after the break gave Fr Casey's victory.
