Herbert takes charge of Toomevara
December 22, 2005
Former Limerick hurler Pat Herbert has been appointed manager of top Tipperary club side Toomevara for the coming season.
Toome surrendered the county championship to Thurles Sarsfields this year and have turned to Herbert in a bid to win the title back. Former Ahane player Herbert had been linked with the Limerick senior post in recent times, but lost out to Padjoe Whelahan and Joe McKenna.
An army officer at The Curragh, Herbert will look to make an impact with Toome before perhaps applying for the Limerick post again in the future.
