Grehan unhappy at lack of phone call

Francie Grehan
Roscommon senior footballer Francie Grehan has expressed surprise and disappointment that he learned of his axing from the county squad from a journalist and not from an official county board source.
Grehan has played for his county for the past 10 years and being dropped by new boss John Maughan came as a shock, especially as he was informed by a journalist.
"After 10 years of service to the county, it's certainly not the ideal way to find out you're not required any more," Grehan declared.
During his intercounty career, which kicked off in 1995, Grehan played under five managers, Donie Shine, Gay Sheerin, John Tobin, Tom Carr and Val Daly.
