New York extend stay in Connacht SFC

New York extend stay in Connacht SFC
The New York team arrive for their Connacht SFC clash against Leitrim at Gaelic Park

New York will remain in the Connacht SFC for another five years at least.

Speaking to the Roscommon People, Connacht GAA CEO John Prenty confirmed that a new five-year agreement between the provincial body and New York has been reached. The Exiles first competed for the Nestor Cup in 1999, but had to wait until three years ago for their first win when they defeated Leitrim after a penalty shootout.

Ahead of the 2027 provincial football championship draws on November 19, it's already known that Sligo will travel to The Bronx to face New York in their Connacht SFC opener next April.
