Moycarkey-Borris and Thurles Sarsfields progressed to the last four of the 2026 Tipperary SHC with victories over Kiladangan and Borris-Ileigh respectively.

In Saturday’s big quarter-final double-header at Semple Stadium, Moycarkey-Borris – trailing by six points (2-19 to 1-16) with eight minutes remaining - produced a sensational late recovery to advance to the semi-final stage with a thrilling 3-23 to 2-22 victory.

Goals from David Costigan (2-3) and Kieran Morris (1-6) had the Mid Tipp men level, with Morris, goalkeeper Rhys Shelley, Costigan (two), Niall Heffernan and Pat Molloy firing over points thereafter for the victors.

Dara O’Dwyer’s goal from the throw-in had Kiladangan off to a flier and Alan Flynn added another from distance in the 17th minute, only for Costigan to retort in style to keep his side within six at the break, 2-10 to 1-7.

Saturday’s second helping at Thurles was more clear cut, with Sarsfields ahead by 2-12 to 0-7 at the interval and eventually winning out on an emphatic 3-22 to 1-18 scoreline, Minor star Kieran Rossiter bagged 1-4 in the first half and 2-5 in all, as well as setting up Darragh Stakelum for the second goal.

Sars hold a 100 per cent record going into the semi-finals and will be bolstered further when they welcome back Ronan Maher from an injury-enforced lay-off.
