Lee Chin hit the first three points of the restart from frees and the Slaneysiders’ talisman would register four more down the home stretch that helped trim his side’s deficit to four.
Donal Burke’s point ended a 14-minute scoring drought for Dublin, wrapping up their victory as Keith Rossiter’s side were inflicted with their second loss of the campaign.
The day’s other game in the Bob O’Keeffe Cup race saw Galway coming from 12 points down to defeat Kildare by 4-22 to 1-22 in Newbridge.
The Lilywhites’ dream start saw them out to a 1-7 to 0-1 lead after 12 minutes, with Muiris Curtin hammering in their goal five minutes in, and the scores of Jack Sheridan, Curtin and Gerry Keegan would really see them motoring against the stunned visitors.

Cathal Mannion (‘65’) and Sheridan (free) traded scores ahead of Rory Burke getting a sorely needed goal for the Tribesmen five minutes from the break, leaving it at 1-15 to 1-5 when the sides went in.
Micheál Donoghue’s men would dominate large portions of the second-half however, as Thomas Monaghan (1-4) and Cian Daniels registered goals in the third quarter before points from Tiernan Killeen and Conor Whelan brought them level.
Sheridan nudged the hosts ahead again with a free, but three Galway points would be followed up by a Whelan goal on the hour mark and the closing 10 minutes would see them outscoring their opponents by 0-8 to 0-3 to seal the comeback win.
