Kerry and Cork will meet in the Munster U20 football championship final for the fifth year running after cruising to victories in their respective semi-finals last night.

Chasing a fifth consecutive provincial title in the grade, Kerry brushed aside Clare with a 2-20 to 0-7 win in Tralee took book their place into another decider.

Scores late in the first-half from Paddy Lane, Ronan Carroll and Jack O’Sullivan (Kenmare) saw the Kingdom leading by 0-8 to 0-6 at half-time before they upped it a gear in the second-half.

The scoreline would read 0-12 to 0-7 before Evan Boyle fired in the holders’ first goal in the 47th minute and Jack Joy would grab their second major 10 minutes later, with two-pointers from Daniel Kirby and Lane (free) helping to round off their team’s tally.

In Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork were dominant in a 0-33 to 1-9 win over Waterford in the other semi-final in the southern province.

Sean Coakley starred with 0-9 over the hour for the hosts, who led by 0-14 to 0-6 at half-time.

Diarmuid Mackle netted a goal for Waterford early in the restart, but it’d be soon erased by a Dylan O’Neill two-pointer that was backed up by a Danny Miskella point.

The Rebels sent over the next three points unanswered after that and scores down the home stretch, including a Coakley two-pointer, helped them to win out by 21 points in the end.
