Ballymacelligott (Kerry) and Clogher Eire Og (Tyrone) will contest next Sunday’s All-Ireland club junior football championship final at Croke Park (throw-in 1.30pm).

The Kerry champions recorded a 2-13 to 0-16 in their semi-final showdown with Grangenolvin of Kildare this afternoon in Rathkeale.

Two goals inside the opening five minutes via Niall Collins and Adam Sheehy proved to be crucial for Ballymacelligott who edged a 2-5 to 0-9 half-time lead at the Limerick venue before winning out by three in the end.

In Carrick-on-Shannon, Clogher Eire Og’s win proved a bit more comfortable as they saw off Mayo opponents by 2-13 to 0-9 for their All-Ireland final berth.

The Ulster champions were 0-5 to 0-3 to the good when Ciaran Bogue hammered in their first goal in the 22nd minute and, after going in at the break up by half a dozen, they’d goal again via Bogue with eight minutes left in normal time to seal the deal.

A brace of Ryan McCaughey points and another from Aidan Cosgrave moved the Clogher lead into double figures before Conor Shields rounded off the 11-point win deep in injury-time.
