Ger Cunningham has stepped down as manager of Cork hurling giants St Finbarr's.
The legendary St Finbarr's and Cork goalkeeper had spent four seasons at the helm, during which he oversaw a major upswing in the club's fortunes. He delivered a sensational 26th SHC title in his first year in charge in 2022 following an emphatic victory over Blackrock in the final.
The 'Barr's were dethroned at the semi-final stage by Midleton in 2023 before surprisingly failing to qualify from the group last year. They reached the semi-final again this year, only to lost to champions-elect Sarsfields by the minimum after a replay.
Cunningham's selectors John Cremin, Billy O'Shea, Sean McCarthy and Kevin Kelliher have also departed, with brothers Kevin and Paudie Murray viewed as the frontrunners to take over.
