Louth are on the lookout for a new senior hurling manager after Trevor Hilliard stepped down from the role for family reasons.

The former county player and Knockbridge native spent two years at the helm, during which he delivered an Allianz League Division 4 title this year. The Wee County retained their Nickey Rackard Cup status for 2026.

“His tenure has been marked by a strong emphasis on player development, with a successful transition that saw a number of younger players step up to senior level and establish themselves alongside experienced members of the panel,” a Louth GAA statement read.

“Trevor’s leadership, together with the commitment of his backroom team – Paddy McArdle, Diarmuid Murphy, Eimear Kelly, Paul Egan and Brendan Madden – has helped to strengthen the foundations of hurling in Louth and foster a positive, progressive environment for the squad.”
