Ulster champions Errigal Ciaran are out of the Tyrone senior football championship after losing this evening’s semi-final to Trillick (1-13 to 1-11) at O’Neills Healy Park.

Late scores from Daire Gallagher and James Garrity were the difference as Trillick avenged last year’s final defeat to the same opposition to move into their third county final in-a-row.

Errigal fell 0-3 to 0-1 behind early on in Omagh but hit the front Darragh Canavan found his brother Ruairi inside with a sublime pass the latter did the rest to surge the holders in front on 10 minutes.

Ruairi Canavan made it a three-point game as many minutes later, but Garrity’s penalty squared the sides soon after and the points of Lee Brennan, Garrity and Ciaran Daly has the St McCartan’s club up by 1-8 to 1-5 at half-time.

Errigal would get it level within seven minutes of the resumption, however they only registered three more points after that as Darragh Canavan posted their last score in the 45th minute to put them 1-11 to 1-9 in front.

Simon Garrity and Daly squared things up for Trillick before Gallagher sailed over a two-pointer for them and James Garrity provided what proved to be the insurance point a minute into injury-time.

Today's Tyrone SFC semi-final clash saw Carrickmore and Loughmacrory finishing all square (1-16 to 0-19), with a replay set to be played between the sides next weekend.
