Middletown Na Fianna will play Keady Lamh Dhearg in the Armagh senior hurling championship final after both sides recorded emphatic semi-final victories this afternoon.
Defending champions Middletown were comfortable in a 5-25 to 1-17 victory over Craobh Rua as they kept on course for a seventh successive Jimmy Carlisle Cup success.
The day’s later game at the Box-It Athletic Grounds saw Keady Lamh Dhearg recording a 3-26 to 0-10 win against Derrynoose to seal their decider berth.
Last year’s runners up fired in two goals in the opening 10 minutes at the Armagh county ground to assume control early on and didn’t look back on their way to what was a 25-point victory in the end.
It means that Middletown and Keady are now set to meet in the Orchard County’s SHC final for a fifth successive year, with the Na Fianna club having emerged victorious on the last four occasions.
