Tipperary star Jake Morris says the Premier men need to “push on again” as they get set to embark on the All-Ireland senior hurling championship series this weekend.
Liam Cahill’s side finished third in the Munster SHC table to advance into tomorrow’s All-Ireland preliminary quarter-final where they are set to face Joe McDonagh Cup runners-up Laois in Portlaoise (1.45pm) in a game that will be shown live on GAA+.
Speaking on TippFM Sport this week, Morris said that Tipp “have new goals” after coming out of Munster and it starts for them with tomorrow’s showdown at Laois Hire O’Moore Park.
“I’ve no bother saying it, this group probably needs to push on again,” the Nenagh Eire Og attacker stated.
“We are not just content now with getting out of Munster, that is no good to us now if that’s just where our season goes and that we’re just happy we got out of Munster and we let the rest of it fizzle out so we have new goals and new targets now and it starts this weekend in Portlaoise with getting a good performance and hopefully getting the win.”
