Tommy Shefflin has been recommended for the post of Kilkenny senior camogie manager.
An older brother of Henry, Tommy was part of Brian Dowling’s management when the Cats won All-Irelands in 2020 and ’22. He added to his growing reputation by guiding Piltown to an historic county senior championship success last month.
Shefflin replaces Peter 'Chap' Cleere who stepped down after only one season in charge. The Black & Whites clubman achieved Leinster success before seeing his side surprisingly knocked out of this year’s O'Duffy Cup race by Dublin.
"Kilkenny Camogie Executive are delighted to put forward Tommy Shefflin as Senior Camogie Manager for ratification at their next County Board Meeting," a press release read.
Kilkenny have also proposed the appointment of David Maher as minor 'A' manager and former county hurling star Canice Brennan as U16 'A' boss.
