One of the few remaining knockout championships in the GAA gets underway this evening when Ardboe and Edendork face off in the opening game of the Tyrone SFC at O’Neill Park, Dungannon.
It will be followed by the meeting of Carrickmore and Dromore tomorrow evening which will form part of a Healy Park double-header with the IFC clash between Cookstown and Aghyaran.
Trillick open their O’Neill Cup defence against Eglish on Saturday in Galbally, while 2022 champions and last year’s runners-up Errigal Ciarán also begin their campaign on Saturday against newly-promoted Pomeroy at Loughmacrory. Enda McGinley’s charges will be without long-term injury victim and county star Cormac Quinn.
The last of the Round 1 action takes place on Monday evening in Dungannon when local rivals Coalisland and Clonoe face off.
