Peter Queally is set to be ratified as Waterford’s new senior hurling manager on a two-year term.
Waterford GAA confirmed yesterday evening that Queally’s name will be up for ratification at the next meeting of the county board.
The former Deise hurler was a selector during Davy Fitzgerald’s second spell in charge of the team and is now set to succeed the Clare man as supremo.
It is understood that former Tipperary star Eoin Kelly, Dan Shanahan, Shane O'Sullivan and John Matthews will be part of Queally's backroom team.
