‘Man of the Match’ Dylan McHugh says Galway’s bench got them over the line in today’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final clash with Donegal at Croke Park.
McHugh came up from defence to register two points in the Tribesmen’s 1-15 to 0-16 victory and, speaking to RTE Sport after the final whistle, the Corofin clubman was delighted that the Connacht champions came through the airtight encounter.
"It's unreal. It's what you dream about growing up playing in these big games at a full Croke Park, so yeah, it's unreal,” he said.
"The bench drove us on again, as they always do. Just keeping the scoreboard ticking as well and a bit of luck along the way.
"There was nothing in it the whole game and I'm just happy to get over the line."
