Derry GAA is seeking nominations from clubs for the position of senior football manager.
The post became vacant on Monday when Mickey Harte stepped down after just a year in charge. The Oak Leafers had been installed as one of the favourites to lift the Sam Maguire after beating All-Ireland champions Dublin in the Allianz League final, but their season petered out in a desperately disappointing championship campaign.
Former manager Rory Gallagher, Glen All-Ireland Club SFC winning boss Malachy O’Rourke, Derry All-Ireland MFC winning manager Damien McElrain, Armagh coach Conleith Gilligan and former assistant manager Barry Dillon, who led Ulster University to Sigerson Cup glory earlier this year and is currently in charge of Monaghan outfit Truagh, have all been linked with vacancy.
The closing date for nominations is July 25.
