Dublin moved comfortably towards another Leinster senior football championship final after scoring an emphatic 3-22 to 0-11 win against Offaly at Croke Park.

Con O’Callaghan, Niall Scully and Colm Basquel all hit the net for the All-Ireland champions as they now get set to meet Louth for the second consecutive season with their Delaney Cup crown on the line.

The capital men had been 0-5 to 0-2 in front when O’Callaghan lashed in their first goal in the 17th minute and it’d help to send them towards a commanding 1-10 to 0-4 interval lead.

Dylan Hyland sailed over an early second-half point for Offaly, but the ball would be in their net again less than a minute later after Scully finished off a slick move at the far end.

Cormac Costello and John Small added points ahead of ‘Man of the Match’ Paul Mannion grabbing another to widen the margin to 13.

Hyland (2) and Cathal Flynn raised white flags that took some tarnish off the scoreboard for the Faithful men but, with Basquel’s injury-time goal, the margin would stand at 20 points in the end.

Dublin are now set to meet Ger Brennan’s Louth side on May 12th while Offaly enter into Tuesday’s Tailteann Cup draw as second seeds.
