Galway captain Seán Kelly could make his first appearance of the year against Tyrone in tomorrow's Allianz Football League round 3 clash at O'Neills Healy Park, having been named on the bench by manager Pádraic Joyce.

The Moycullen man hasn't figured for the Tribesmen since last year's All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final defeat to neighbours Mayo, with persistent ankle and hamstring injury problems forcing him to miss his club's Galway SFC final defeat to Corofin as well as NUI Galway's recent Sigerson Cup campaign.

Ace attacker Shane Walsh and fellow 2022 All-Stars Liam Silke, Cillian McDaid and Damien Comer remain absent from the matchday squad.

Galway (FL v Tyrone): Connor Gleeson; Jonathan McGrath, Seán Fitzgerald, Seán Ó Maoilchiaráin; Dylan McHugh, John Daly, Kieran Molloy; Paul Conroy, John Maher; Johnny Heaney, Matthew Tierney, Cathal Sweeney; Robert Finnerty, Cillian Ó Curraoin, Liam Ó Conghaile.

Subs: Oran Burke, Daniel O’Flaherty, Liam Boyle, Seán Kelly, Ger Davoren, Niall Daly, Ciaran Brady, Céin D’Arcy, Patrick Egan, Jack McCabe, Rory Cunningham.
