Former Galway hurling manager Anthony Cunningham has been appointed as St Brigid’s manager for 2024.
It comes after the Roscommon and Connacht champions saw team manager Jerome Stack stepping down in the wake of last Sunday’s painful All-Ireland club SFC final defeat to Glen of Derry.
Cunningham’s appointment marks what will be his second stint with St Brigid’s, having previously led the club to its first provincial senior title in 2006.
The 58-year-old, who steered Garrycastle to an All-Ireland final appearance in 2012, has been living in the St Brigid’s parish just outside Athlone for several years now.
