Donegal retained the Conor McGurk Cup this evening thanks to a dominant display against Down at the Dub.
It finished 2-25 to 0-22 at the Queen’s University Belfast venue, where goals from ‘Man of the Match’ Gerard Gilmore and Liam McKinney surged the holders towards a commanding 11-point lead at the half.
Down improved after the turnaround but could only get within five points of their Tir Chonaill counterparts whom stormed to the pre-season silverware once more.
