Former Mayo forward Enda Varley is taking charge of the Raheny senior footballers this year.
The Garrymore man replaces Paul Dempsey in the role and links up with current Mayo goalkeeper Rob Hennelly, who transferred from Breaffy this time last year. A teacher based in the capital, Varley played with Raheny’s northside rivals St Vincent’s for five years before rejoining his native Garrymore in 2021.
Raheny, whose star player is Dublin midfielder Brian Fenton, reached the Dublin SFC semi-final last year, only to lose to holders Kilmacud Crokes 5-4 on penalties.
